Disabled WC, Disabled parking, Induction loop, Step free access

Disabled car parking

Although limited, there is provision for disabled car parking at both surgeries.

Access without steps

Patients who are unable to use the stairs can be seen in a downstairs consulting room. Please ask our reception staff when making an appointment in order to make us aware of your needs. The surgery reception area and downstairs waiting room have easy access without steps. Neither sites have a lift.

We make every effort to make the surgery accessible for disabled patients. There is access through the main door and we have a wheelchair available for use in surgery.

Hearing difficulties

If you are experiencing hearing difficulties when being called in to see the doctor or nurse, please do let us know in order for us to set up an alert on your medical records and personally collect you from the waiting room.
Alternatively, we do have the facility of a portable induction loop. If you would like to use this, please ask at reception for assistance.

Translation service

A translation service is available on request. However please inform the reception team if you require a translator at the point of booking your appointment to give the surgery time to organise this for your consultation. Please ask our reception staff for further information.

Disabled parking

Although limited, there is provision for disabled car parking at both surgeries.

General parking

We politely ask that you observe the needs of our disabled patients.

We have limited parking spaces and this is staff parking.

Both of our surgeries are easily accessible by public transport, with frequent bus services from Sheffield City Centre and surrounding areas.

Broomhill Surgery (5 Lawson Road, S10 5BU) is just a short walk from bus stops on Fulwood Road and Glossop Road. The main services serving the area include the 51, 52 and 52a, providing regular links to Sheffield City Centre, the Royal Hallamshire Hospital, the University of Sheffield and surrounding neighbourhoods.

Lodge Moor Surgery (14 Blackbrook Road, S10 4LP) is served by the 51 bus, which runs regularly between Lodge Moor, Crosspool, Broomhill and Sheffield City Centre. Bus stops are located within a short walk of the surgery on Blackbrook Road.
